At Knightsbridge Dental Care all our intra-oral (inside the mouth) x-rays are taken digitally. Apart from the convenience of an immediate picture that can be enlarged or adjusted to highlight particular areas, the most important feature of digital x-rays is that the radiation dose is reduced by about 80%.

The x-ray is shown on a screen. Each surgery has two flat screens – one for the dentist and one for the patient, the patient’s being on the ceiling for easy viewing. This ceiling screen can also be used by the patient to watch television and DVDs or to look at pictures of the inside of their mouth taken with an intra-oral camera.
