Knightsbridge Dental Care has been placing dental implants since 1987. Implants are small titanium screws which are placed in the jaw bone to replace the roots of teeth that have been lost. After a short period of time to allow the bone to grow around the implants, posts are placed into the implants and natural looking crowns are then placed onto these posts. |

Tooth gaps can therefore be filled without the need to prepare natural teeth to support the crowns and without the need to wear a removable denture. There is usually only minimal discomfort following the placement of implants and this should subside within a couple of days. Roman Franks has dental implants to support bridgework in his own mouth that were placed by Alan Gold. Dental implants rarely fail to integrate into the bone. The rejection or "failure" rate is minimal – less than 5%. Should an implant fail to integrate into the bone then we would remove it, allow the bone to heal for a short period and then place another implant into the same area. We do not charge for the replacement of an implant that has failed to integrate provided you have followed the simple instructions given to you at the time of placement. If you're missing one tooth or all of your teeth, implants may well be for you. So long as you have enough bone in the area of the missing teeth to facilitate the anchorage of the implants, this procedure can yield terrific results. If you don't have enough bone to anchor the implants, a procedure of building up the bone (known as Bone Grafting) may be required. A full denture, and in particular a lower full denture, can be loose. If you are suffering from this problem you can have your denture secured by up to 4 mini-implants. This procedure can be completed in a single appointment. |
