Many people clench or grind their teeth at night. This can cause many different symptoms: headaches, neck-aches, earache, broken teeth, loosening of teeth etc. If you suffer from any of these symptoms and in particular if you wake up in the morning with a headache or neck-ache, then it is very likely that you are either clenching or grinding your teeth whilst you are asleep.

Roman Franks and Alan Gold have taken a particular interest in this problem and have attended many conferences both in Europe and the USA to keep abreast of the latest treatment developments.

Some dental clinics in Britain use anti-depressant drug therapy as a treatment. We are strongly opposed to the use of, and will never use, any drugs to treat this problem.

In most cases the basic cause of the problem is an imbalance in the occlusion (bite) which puts undue stress on the tempero-mandibular joint (the jaw joint in front of the ears). Our treatments involve correcting this malocclusion and all are fully reversible.
